What is Validation?
Validation is the official process of proving that a project complies with the technical and methodological requirements of the selected carbon standard. This stage is mandatory to obtain the authorization for carbon credit issuance.
Stages of Validation
Preparation: Acquisition of project data and relevant information.
Project Documentation: Preparation of the project file (PDD) in accordance with the principles of the selected standard and methodology. At this stage, calculation models are established, and monitoring parameters are defined.
Audit: Execution of the audit processes in collaboration with an independent validation body (DOE/VVB). This phase involves managing technical revisions and Request for Information (RFI) processes.
Approval Process: Upon final approval, the validation report and project file are submitted to the carbon standard.
Validation Finalization: Completion of the project registration and its listing on the carbon standard registry.
* Upon Validation approval, the project officially commences carbon credit production and secures the right to issue credits for a period of 7 to 15 years (varying based on the carbon standard and revalidation periods).
** This service is mandatory for your project to be eligible for carbon credit issuance. The project completion timeline varies between 5 to 12 months, depending on the specific carbon standard.
